As soon as we checked into the hotel, we headed to the indoor pool. We played card games and ate pizza in our room while we watched the ball field to see if the rain would cancel the game. Since it was just misting (heavily at times), we broke out the glow bracelets and rain ponchos and headed to the park. The kids loved the jungle gym area so much they didn’t want to go to the game, but we had our pick of great wet seats to choose from since there were very few people there. Elli wasn’t sitting in her chair more than 5 minutes before she fell asleep. We stayed a few innings and then decided we were wet enough and headed home. We told a story in the round before and let the kids go to sleep (even though we kind of wanted to keep them up to see the fireworks).
