Interesting Morning

It started out as a fairly boring morning - here's a picture of Taye riding Jordan like a horse.
But when I set Taye down for his nap, things got a little more interesting. My phone was ringing in the playroom and I went to get it, but Lex had it hidden. I didn't recognize the number of the missed call, but when I checked my message it was the Chatham County 911 operator calling about a hangup call on my cell phone. I called back to tell her everything was fine and apologized for my three-year-old's curiosity. Of course, we talked to Lex about saving 911 for a real emergency, but he was very sorry about it and I made sure he understood he was forgiven.
A little later, though, Jordan was in the front yard (she broke through her electric fence) barking ferociously at the Sheriff! After getting her back inside, I asked Lex to tell the policeman what happened and he started crying. We all were then trying to make him feel better and talked about how lucky we are that if we ever have a real emergency the policeman will be here to help us.
